If you are blessed with a baby, but your figure looks like you are still pregnant then you need not to worry about it. It is something that is normal and can be fixed. However, it will take time for your body to regain its pre-pregnancy shape, but let me assure you that this time is much less than the maternity period. By following the described simple and easy ways you can achieve your ideal body without causing any damage to your health.

  1. Breastfeeding

It is scientifically proven that exclusively breastfeeding the infant in the early after birth helps reduce pregnancy weight loss. It is also very healthy for the proper growth and development of the baby. So mothers can achieve two goals with a simple trick, can provide their infants with the best diet, and can reduce their postpartum weight.

2. Drink more water

Drinking water is the key to a healthy body. And for mothers who feed their babies. It is also necessary for them to keep their body hydrated all the time to not affect the milk supply for their babies. Drinking adequate water can help your organs function smoothly and can keep your skin healthy as well.

3. Frequent but small meals

A lot of mothers indulge themselves in strict diet plans after seeing excessive weight gain. Or they start doing too much gym, to burn the extra calories. But this is something that is neither healthy nor safe for both you and your baby. Eating frequent and small meals all day can help your stomach to process digestion effectively and will provide your body with much-needed nutrients.

4. Walking

Walking is considered the best solution in the world where obesity is becoming a common problem in every house. If you have delivered a baby or are obese due to any other reason and you cannot go to the gym on daily basis, walking daily is a simple and easy way for you. A study in 2000 concluded that moderate walking is an effective way to reduce specifically the waist side area.

5. Less sugar and more exercise

This is a basic rule that applies to every human if he or she wishes for weight loss. This ‘he’ can be obese and this ‘she’ can be a new mother. Less intake of sugar will not only help your body in maintaining a healthy diet but it will also keep your weight in check. The same goes for more exercise. It will keep your calories burning. But for mothers, it is necessary to consider the physician’s advice on their exercise.

Babies are a blessing and there is no doubt about that. But these come with a lot of challenges and changes in your body. However, remember one thing that will keep you going and not demotivating. “Nothing can be achieved overnight with panicking.”

It is normal to gain a postpartum belly after giving birth. And it is more than normal to regain your pre-pregnancy shape. By following the above mentioned simple ways you can achieve the desired result.

Let me know which way worked for you or if you have a suggestion of yours to add to this list.
